I like the way you're doing your pet cool. Is the ply above it going to be part of your counter top? On the bungalette the pet cool was on the outside wasn't it? Question,questions,questions! BTW excellent work.

Yes, the raised section will be part of the counter top, plan to have a small cabinet there, my power distribution center (WFCO) and maybe a storage feature for something special!

The Bungalette did have the Pet Cool on the outside with ductwork to bring in the cool air. That is one thing I wanted to avoid this time, wanted it built in to the trailer. I am pretty happy with the way the Pet Cool install turned out.

Been a while since I posted any photos, and to be honest, only have the one to share right now.

I have been working on the galley. Next step is to close in the top and side by the power center, then start to put the tile counter top in and install trim.

Despite the crazy heat, I completed the tile install and mounted a sign in the galley. Next step, trim out the galley and finish power center cabinet.

The tiled counter looks great (as well as the rest of the galley)!

Could you say what type of thin set or mastic you used to set the tiles, please? Also, did you use epoxy or "regular"'grout?

Your galley is really lookin nice. I also like your wine rack and it's sitting on top of your pet cool. I wonder if your wine bottles will get chilled because of that.

Larry, it would be nice if the petcool chilled the wine! Although, it may heat up more than cool down! I still need to find a nice vent cover for teh side of the trailer.

Tom, I used a heavy duty construction adhesive (PL) which stated it was good for stone and wood. Guess I'll find out how well it does after traveling down the road some. A far as the "grout" I used sanded caulk . Was hoping for the grout type look, but with some flexability.

Thank you Earl. I am tiling my countertop too and was curious how you did it. I believe Mark (Planovet) did the same.

Finished up the galley, the power center, wiring and started installing the insulation.

Tom, is was hot. Saturday was worse than Sunday, but to be ready for LCG, gotta push through it! Although not from this weekend, from last week or so, but the temps inside have been about the same.



Larry, the Blue Yonder will the TD we use. To be honest, not sure how much longer the Bungalette will be around. It has been on the road now for nearly 6 years, and is showing its age in some ways. Debating on tearing it down, keeping the hardware (windows, hinges, handles, etc) for my daughter and her husband to build their own tear.

Guess we’ll see what happens.

Not too much to report, although the roof is completely installed.

All insulation is in and I used the spray foam where needed (sorry no picture of that). Put a little caulking where the wires ran through the spars.

I installed the outer wood skin, filled the holes, fiber glassed the seam, then sanded and applied the sealant.

Impressive work, especially considering the heat.

I took Friday off to work on the teardrop, planning to work 2 full days. It was okay on Friday, but I had to quit around noon today.
