Hey Kirk

At least you sold your wife. I can't get mine sold to save my life. Maybe Mary needs to talk to her.
Congrats on your first outing. The shelfs look cool too.

No problem Larry . After Mary spends the night in it and has a good experience we can work in your wife :applause:

Like Larry I could not stand the flimsy short tongue on my HF trailer. Here is the fix I came up with.

Its a little longer so it backs up better. Jack is welded and more stable. I can strap stuff to the expanded metal deck.

I did design the fix but I cannot take credit for the welds. I can weld and I do have the equipment but I have a customer who is an artist at the torch and he really wanted to glue it together so he gets the credit for the nice welds.

Doh! Kirk, I apologize. I got confused and mixed you up with Kent somehow, who has recently started posting again. Explains why the second part of my post doesn't make any sense. :x

Your work looks great and despite whoever did the welding your mod looks fabulous!

Looks good Kirk, between and Larry I've been calling around to see what its going to run me to get mine non HF trailer extended out and get a permanent jack mounted to it. I'm hoping they can cut it out and replace without catching the tear on fire :D. Keep making changes so we can keep copying them!

Cliff

I am soo glad you used the blue masking tape. Such great stuff. I cAn only afford the beige tape and we know how that stuff is with holding things together. I just can't find the blue tape anywhere near here and to have it shipped is just so much.

Re: California Zepher. New fan and shelf ext.

Postby campmaster-k » Tue Aug 14, 2012 8:32 am

Teardrops are never really finished.

We figured out that we needed more air and more room for stuff. So I Took out the vent and installed a fantastic vent which I should have done in the first place.

Image

In went the fan. Very easy

Image

And then went a shelf extension.
