Terry...

the living hinge is working great! i used it for the galley & doors and it's had no problems at all. the only extra thing i did was use a strip of wood on each side to reinforce it just to be sure screws wouldn't rip thru.

if you didn't see it previously, like this...

I did the same thing on my galley hatch except I used two strips of aluminum and it worked out great! I see we both were smart and predrilled!

Heya everyone. Long time no check in. Since then we took another trip out west & northish. Last summer we went to Badlands, Black Hills, Wind Cave, Devils Tower, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons. We even met Verna randomly on the road in Nebraska (I think?).. She flew by us (honking & waving) and we caught up with her at a gas station. If you're reading this Hi Verna!!!

Oh, also... You might recall my lady friend/ travel partner/ inspiration for building the tear to begin with? I've referred to her as my girl etc throughout this...

Well, now she is referred to as MY WIFE!!!

And more on topic of a build journal.. I finally painted the bluebird on the back..

Image

We're toying with the idea of something like this for the sides..

Image

And I'm beta testing some magnetic doorstops to keep them from flopping while parked.. We're going Southwest this year so I'll let you know how they work out of the garage..

Hope everyone is well
