John, I really like your lightweight build. I am curious about the tires you have on there. The size looks like a lawn mower tire. Do the wheel bearing stay cool? The small diameter of those tires make the bearings spin at a high rate of speed. Just curious.

I am sorry this is off topic but where did you get those fenders on your first build (Scenic 1) I love them!

They are 8" wheels for road use. The original wheels and tires were narrow but I upped them to the wider ones for aesthetics. Now I have two narrow spares.

I found them on Ebay. They had been cut to fit a different application, one with a curve. Being fiberglass, however, allowed me to reconstruct them and such that I could mount them to the side of my flat tear. That was all 6-8 years ago at this point.

Some of the hot rodder types might recognize what they were originally modeled after. Some 30's model truck is as close as I can get.

Hey, Cool build. I noticed you were from Eden, NC... I'm about a hundred miles from you, in Taylorsville, NC. I was wondering where you sourced your aluminum sheeting from.

Thanks, Brooks

You could not ask for better. HAS GREAT LOOKS . It's has the space for every thing you need to go camping. The first tear drop that looks fantasist with small wheels I have ever put my eyes on.
TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN,
YET AT THE SAME TIME, THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE,,, SO MAKE THE BEST OF IT WHILE YOU CAN, AND ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS
