Humm

There always has to be the first to try it before the rest know if it will work or not. I would be curious to
see how much it expands in heat. Example. If you took a 3 foot section and attached it around a radius
only at both ends. Check the gap in the middle with a feeler gauge. Test it again at noon or one pm. I
used something like that on my garage where the wood rotted because it was against the concrete driveway.
Not sure about its UV rating unpainted.

Definitely let us know what you think.

That's what I want to do is test it out...as for UV rating its used on home windows. And for expansion I will likely screw every 5 inches. I will let you know as time goes on...Cheers

Ok added some more moulding pics. I have profile shots of the store bought moulding and of the modified one to what I need. The one profile being square and the other having a radius...The screw caps will go into a counterbored hole. I will put a dab of sealer/caulking in each hole, then tap the cap on....

Very interested in your trim. Sounds like a great economical alternative. I had been thinking of frp corner trim, but this sounds better. Will be watching for your results. Please keep posting pics.

Last couple of days been slow, got my Polyurethane sealant for the roof/doors and windows. Just need to glue and tack my 1/8 luan on the roof. Then finish off the Hatch with luan, and glue up both sides. Also CPESed the Hatch panels and all edges of roof panels, prior to skinning with aluminum.

Ok today did some Hatch hinge locating work again. Need to get everything lined up and sealed up. I knew this Hatch work takes TIME because so many things have to come together, for a nice fit....

Struts screwed into 1inch. Cherry for strength....

How high are you anticipating the open hatch being above the ground, vs how tall are you?
