You're really blowin' and goin' on this one! It looks great! What's the plan for the gingerbread on the exterior...kinda tame or lots of sizzle? You mentioned that you will probably build another trailer at one time or another....guess what? That's not uncommon. I'm into it for 6 now. Still have one in my head. Take care. Doug

going tame. Picked up pine bevel siding today and it starts going on tomorrow. It will be stained. We love the Vardo shape but aren't fans of the traditional colors.

I'm a self employed woodworker. This is another thing I can do with wood. I figure it is a rolling billboard :D

I already have 2 other campers being built in my head. ;)

WOW!! that was fast.
Mine still has weeks to go before it's even water tight, yours looks like it's ready to camp in allready.
The siding makes a huge difference
Love it :applause:

Will there be a need to caulk those overlaps? Wind driven rain is sneaky.

it will be caulked everywhere needed. I build furniture for a living but have worked as a building contractor on homes. I am all too familiar with water and rot. This is my 1st build of a camper, not my 1st time with power tools :D

but I don't know what you mean. The siding overlaps? Around the windows? I don't understand the question

It's looking fantastic. Because of you I spend my weekend computer time seaching out pics of vardos. It's become the #1 idea for my future build.

Great job.

thank you Kudzu. Be sure to check out Steve Cox's build here on the forum. He takes things to an entire other level! I can't wait until it is ready to camp in. Looking forward to many weekends of complete relaxation in front of a campfire. Doing nothing but feeding the fire , drinking coffee and worrying about the next meal. :D

thanks. The roof has a 10-1/2 inch rise to it. It is an 87 inch radius It made for a nice easy bend but looks about right. The inside for now will be very basic. A bed, paneling and probably left over wood flooring from doing over out living room. Looking to get the outside done and the inside campable to camp with it in a few weeks.

Great build I'll be following this for sure
There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....
