Nice Job  You're making me want to build a Gypsy Trailer.

By the way: Thanks for posting the YouTube Video of your band on my birthday thread, but that's a pretty obscure place, so here's the link again. I liked it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=YtWvYJ3GfR4

a little more progress today. Got slowed a bit when I needed four 1x2's that were 8-1/2 feet long. So I went into my basement where I store dry rough cut lumber and found 2 red oak boards that could be resawn and planed to fit the bill. Took 1/2 hour or so to make them but I'm a 1/2 hour from the closest lumber yard. Little more to do tomorrow before heading out to chase down more plywood and stuff.

thanks! Interior for now will be simple I think. We want to camp in it this summer...so a bed for now and little else. We figure camping init will help us decide what we do and don't need/want

thank you! It's one of those things. I wanted to start working on it earlier in the year but I had a huge order to fill, which took up all of my time. So I'm spending a few days just working on this as much as possible. Tomorrow I'll get a good chunk of the day to work on it as well. I would LOVE to have the roof in plywood tomorrow ...but that maybe just beyond my reach. But it will at least be ready for it.

When you say "got a lot done," you are NOT KIDDING!!

I love it, truly. The shape is just beautiful, I love those roof trusses and the supports on the exterior sides (sorry, don't know the technical term), such attention to detail. This is a very charming build, and you are doing a great (and fast) job of it.

thank you thank you. I am truly enjoying myself. The original inspiration was the one I posted a pic of at the beginning of the thread. Then I found Steve Cox's build. That is where much of the inspiration of this build came from. My plans, materials and mental image of the build changed after I had the trailer floor done.
I build furniture and raise chickens and ducks for a living. Building this is truly different and fun for me. The quick easy work is winding down. Pretty soon all of the detail/time consuming stuff starts.
