Welder could not make it, but
Fenders dry fit, removed, wait final welding.
Rear light assembly derusted, degreased, primed, first coat.
Frame derusted, degreased, primed, first coat.

No real work today as landlord is coming tonight to discuss him selling property and us moving out.

May do some pop-riveting on the backing for the rear light assembly if things wind up early.

Frame painting completed. May add another coat in areas where wear can be expected.

Rear light frame: galv parts prep and first coat tonight.
fenders:galv parts prep and first coat tonight.
Fenders steel parts: final weld tomorrow.
fenders prep and prime tomorrow night
Galv parts first coat tomorrow night

Still on target for final assembly this weekend.
And perhaps a test drive :worship:

Fender final paint coats Monday/Tuesday.
Rest of next week evenings extra income job to pay for RWC and registration. quite an expensive exercise in these parts.

I may have missed a few minor target dates but still is within the greater plan and I have moved ahead at quite a rate.
The whole chassis and deck has had a lick of paint, all bolts are bolted, lights are lighting, reflectors are reflecting, "i"s dotted and "t"s crossed.

The first test tun was a good one. Bearings ran cool, nothing fell off or broke. She tracked straight and stable albeit a bit bouncy due to the low weight.

Tonight I just need to stick on the last piece of reflective tape (I ran out last night) and tomorrow it is off to the test center.
After that It will be another day of queuing to register it on my name, but that will wait for next week when I am on leave.
My 7yo grandson will be visiting during next week so I will have a willing pair of hands to help get the ceiling back in place and and a few of the other things where one pair of hands just aint enough.

More pics and stories to follow.
