Nice looking hatch - I also like the way you can get right into the Galley and reach everything! You are also moving fast!

Thanks Guys, It seems like it's taking me too long. I will say my next build should move faster, funds willing. Things like the hatch have been haunting me. at least I know what to do now and what I can expect. I like simple and space efficient design. While I like the swoopy looks of many TDs I just can't see one for me. I really hope my brother likes it. I offered to make him some sliding doors but he shot it down opting for cargo netting. It's all good.

Really happy I stumbled on these plans because with a front radius like you've instructed me how to do...it's one if the coolest tds out there. Bells and whistles are just a matter of adding as I go

I'm still working on the build, just not much to show atm. I installed the fenders and I'm still working out hatch issues.(nothing major I'm just chicken to drill into the hatch) I am going to install the leveling jacks today and I should get some interior work done too. Pics to come

I hope you don't mind if I ask a few, if not more, questions,
1) I see 2 different brands of trailer on your two builds; which do you like better?
2) On my HF trailer (1195lb though), there is a brace on the A-frame. Your trailer is missing that. Did you leave it off or is it not on the 1720lb?
3) How stable is it inside with just the 2 jacks and the wheel up front? Do you think 4 jacks are needed?

Thank you for such great pics. I'm just finishing up my trailer and am about to start on the "camper" part of the build. I modified my trailer pretty significantly, but am still looking to do a similar build.

Both trailers are HF, the first one is something I have had for years the 40"x48", 8" wheels. It's a cool Trailer I'd go with the 12" tires if I were going to do it again. Mainly because I want more ground clearance.

I think the 1195 trailer is the Folding one, The 1720 is not a folder but it does tilt, I changed the tilt Pins to Bolts.

My Brother sent me the leveling jacks, I myself would use the jack stand style instead of the ones he sent me. There still feels like some wobble with these.

So my brother came for the holidays and took the trailer. He and his wife are on their way back east with the trailer in tow. It was great to see them and spent time with them, it was very sad to say goodbye to them and the trailer. Sad I never got to sleep in it.

Added some more Diamond Plate to the tongue.
