Thanks, if you want to save some money on doors you can build them with these planes. You don't even need a router or a table saw.

Tommy,
What is the clear penetrating epoxy sealer you used and where did it come from?
what will you putty with and then finish with. I'm using exterior paint and not sure of compatibility. :?

Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer (CPES) is made by Smith and Company. I got mine from Jamestown Distributors http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=1268

As far as putty, I'm open to suggestions as well.

I see that you are using unframed sides. I've read elsewhere here that unframed sides are prone to many stability issues. Does that concern you? I see that the thickness of the plywood that you used is certainly thick. I assume that the thickness was a way to overcome the stability issues?

3/4" Plywood is VERY stable, more so than a framed wall with a plywood skin. The disadvantage of solids walls is not the stability, but the weight. Solid walls weigh more than the framed sandwich walls, also they are less insulated than a framed wall with foam insulation. The plywood walls I am using are bolted to the trailer frame with carriage bolts, so the stability is rock solid. Thanks for the observation.

I see what you are saying. I've seen more than a few build journals of those who also use the unframed method. I'm thinking I might do it that way for mine too. Since I expect it to be a sleeper, with no rear hatch nor galley, I suspect I can afford a little bit of the extra weight.

Darryl

i am really enjoying studying your build pictures. Can I ask where u mounted the electrical center (Converter, ) and which brand you used? Thanks so much
the cabinetry is amazing. I just started my tear a couple weeks ago and am inspired by the work I see from you and others here.
