Can't believe its been since July when I posted last!! Guess its been a busy summer! :? :D

Between music festivals, camping with the TearJerkers, and other trips with my friends this has without a doubt been the busiest summer I've had! And it was a blast!!

During our TearJerker's Liberty Bell Chapter "Somerset PA" Gathering, I got to visit a place that I've studied and written papers on, but never seen in person. Fallingwater! Absolutely stunning that this place was built in the 30's!

While on that trip, we picked up a 1981 Puch Magnum moped and brought it home on the front of the X-Cubed.

One thing led to another, and the GF wanted one to ride....

So I found her a 1977 Puch Maxi Newport, which was in pieces in boxes and needed completely rebuilt. All paint is original, as is the seat. It was just really crudded up.

Next thing I know, I found a 1980 Puch Maxi on craigslist, about 10 minutes from our house. It was really crusty, but complete!

I tore it completely down and refinished it, rebuilt the motor, bored out the carb, and modded the exhaust a little.

And painted it to match the X-Cubed 8)

On another Liberty Bell Chapter Gathering, we stayed at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg PA! It was a great weekend and we got to see a lot of familiar faces! On Sunday when we headed home, we took a minor detour to go check out Centralia, PA. The town has had underground coal fires burning since 1962. The town is all but abandoned, and many streets have been closed off. Its a creepy place to explore, but very very interesting!

A little more exploring in Centralia... glad I built the X-Cubed to have a little off-road capability!

Falling Water! With camping, mopeds, and exploring a creepy, abandoned town as bonuses. We'd love that trip. Have done a number of Frank Lloyd Wright related detours, including both Taliesins, but have never had the pleasure of seeing Falling Water. Someday...

Its been brought to my attention that many of the pictures have become un-linked. Its because of the way Facebook changes their system from time to time. I dont have time at the moment to go through the entire build and relink everything, so all the build pictures are available here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 75129e5834

Hey stranger, haven't seen you around these parts lately.

Any updates, "I should have's", or things that you are particularly happy with the way that they turned out?

Future plans, or just too busy camping (when the weather comes around)?
