Hanover got hit with winter storm Stella on Monday night, so I set up my GoPro to catch a time-lapse of the X-Cubed in the backyard. Even had a little fire to welcome the snow!

The timelapse was shot from about 8pm to 11am, with a picture taken every 30 seconds.

All hell breaks loose about 43 seconds in, probably around sunrise. We will rebuild!

Rebuild? I didn't see anything at 43 seconds other than a chair tumbling over? Did something cave in? if so.. OUCH.

Hahahahaha :applause: :applause: :applause:

I took that hook, line and sinker!!!

I know the pains of rebuilding due to forces beyond your control.... while building a strip built wood kayak, my golden retriever chewed up a 3inch x 3 foot section of wood prior to me fiber glassing it. UGH!

  Ouch!

I've had to rebuild and repair a few things on this build, but I guess I can just chalk it up to the experience!

I saw a galley lid go up and I thought I saw the door open; but am not certain if that was the door or a bit of snow on the lens.

FINALLY!! A facelift! Or next step towards completion? Those giant white walls (relatively speaking) have just been begging for a design for the past 3 1/2 years, and I finally got around to it this past weekend.

Guess I need to come up with a design for the front now as well....

and the flip-up galley side tables...

and the air conditioning ventilation...

and...

and...

I'm not sure what else, but something will come up! :?

One step at a time.

Design looks good. Matches the angular theme well.

Another easy project accomplished last night! I have stainless steel grilling utensils hanging on both side walls of my galley, and they've been swinging back and forth on their hooks for 3.5 years now, scraping and scuffing the paint the whole time. Well I did some touch-up work and painted over the scuffs and scrapes, and wanted to prevent it from happening again. So I made retainer bars from 1/2" oak, small hinge, and a small hook-and-eye latch, and some flat EPDM weatherstripping. They aren't going anywhere now, and are still easily accessible.
