This million year old pic shows the VIN plate location on my frame. Right there on the tongue. That's the only reason I haven't changed it yet.

Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

  • I wouldn't have changed mine either, but it was damaged and unreadable. When I replaced the original damaged single-beam tongue, with a much thicker and longer piece of square tubing, I just threw it away. I showed a picture, saved on my phone, of the disposed of VIN label, and a previous license plate sticker (from many years prior) to the Tax office clerk, and re-registered without problems.
  • 86925 old tongue (with VIN label), both damaged and disposable!
  • 86928 new tongue, without VIN label, but OK with the State
  • If I ever go to Harbor Freight again, I might pick up a set of their number/letter stamping dies, just to make it "identifiable", as if its' unique self, is not. Just for the sake of the govt. sanctions for ownership.

Oooh that must be an older Northern Tool Folding Trailer kit? I think they have just a solid center member now.
