Congrats on the retirement! My Dad retired at New Year's, and he's been enjoying every minute of it. Take your time and enjoy your projects.

Well I made it! Today was my last day of work & it's official now, I'm retired.

:applause: :applause: :applause:

I don't know if you can relate, but when I hung it up, it was if I'd just packed the last elk quarter out of a hell hole of a timbered jungle and unloaded it onto my tailgate. (Elk quarters are heavy and so's a career.)

Congratulations on your retirement! You're gonna love it and eventually wonder how you ever worked a 40 hour week. HaHa!
Have a great trip to the North; but, be aware that some of the northern areas are also having triple digit weather these days. :icedtea:

Woot Woot! :P Congratulations!

Now there is plenty of time to play with the camper (that 5 or 1% that is never done) and do even more camping.

Thank's for the video you did a great job building your Teardrop. I like your door catches I'll have to see if I can find these here in the states. Also like the bag hanger. We went on our first camping trip with our Teardrop last week and one thing we needed was a place to hang a trash bag.

Thanks to Tony Latham for the trash bag hanger idea & gift. It's so easy to use & simple to make, everyone with struts in the galley can use it.

P.S. Try one of his books as well, available on Amazon from "Tony H. Latham" good stuff!

Tony is an author?! Cool. Just curious what his contribution was to The "Classic Film" IRISH JAM?

Sheeeeesh... I'm guessing it has something to do with your previous purchases on Amazon? :frightened:

Haha, don't go putting that evil on me!

Looks like there's a Tony Maudsley in the cast and Alan Latham in the crew...

Your build is a work of art! The air conditioning project came out really nice! Great work.

I just showed Carrie your video... we are both impressed with the professionalism of your build. Also, where did you find your stove and how do we get a latch like yours that holds the door open? Thanks!

Hi Michael, just saw your build again, amazing detail, very nice!

The stove is a Chinese "Camp Chef" type which we really like. They go for about $170 now, it needs full pressure to run, but I adapted to use a larger bottle with a 30# regulator. Normal use is with 1# bottles, but I chose to do it differently. Also, instead of a sliding drawer type of compartment, I just used aluminum angles to mount the drawer guides & attach to the bottom of the stove. Removed the side handles to save space. The oven can get pretty warm, so I chose to install it with drawer guides, to get away from the wood panels when cooking.

The door latches are from "Sheddie" in New Zealand. I asked him to send a pair for me if I paid shipping & the cost. He was kind enough to do so for me. I really like them & don't know of a distributor in the states. Someone else may chime in about availability here.

Sorry Michael... you can get a good sense of the quality and attention to detail of Tim's build by watching his video, but until you've gotten the tour from him, I don't think you can catch the caliber of his build. It's truly exceptional. I got the 1:1 tour at 9,000' and sometime later while napping in my 'drop, I found myself wondering if what I had seen was a product of oxygen deprivation. The following day we dropped down to 6,000' and I took another peek and nothing had changed.
