Cool, yea I'd imagine it isn't quite as straightforward as that [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES].
Try to find a copy of this book "RETRO CARAVANS, vantastic kiwi collections "by Don Jessen if you can find it.
Maybe amazon might have it.
Amazing restorations and some great retro interior designs and color schemes

Some progress better than no progress?

Bad chest cold is kicking my butt. BUT... I did manage to cut a window out this weekend and test fit the weather seal and the window. Looks like it's perfect. Glad to see it coming together albeit slowly...

Looking good, I really like the profile. I was thinking the pictures made it look huge but then you posted the dimensions and it is big. Cant wait to see how you are going to finish it. Now I see from your other thread why you needed so much filon to cover. It would also take a lot of epoxy and cloth. Any estimates yet on the finished weight

Happy building

Dan

Thank you Dan. Yes it's pretty good sized. It's about 7.5' high and 14' long. I really don't know about the weight, but based on other trailers in this size I'm guessing 1000-1400 lbs. Loaded.

Great build. (just found it, and had to comment...)... That one sentence should be plastered all over the place. Looking forward to the rest of your build!

Looking good. If the rest turns out as nice as the frame, then it will look absolutly pristine. To bad you couldn't get the black and gray connections into one outlet.....lets you flush the black out of the hose with the gray before you disconnect it.

Yeah Adam that was the original plan for sure. I could have accomplished that if I would have gone with substantially smaller tanks. But they are each 40 gal. One is offset left for the crapper and one is offset right for the kitchen sink. Thanks for the complement we appreciate it!

Cut out the door today and working on cleaning up a lot of the epoxy joints and edges. Quite a bit going on with little to show for it. Ha. Oh well guess that's how it goes. But I feel like it's starting to look like something is coming together...

Today I had some fun doing a dry fit on the door, window and luggage hatch. I had to do a little trimming with the router to get things to fit well and open/close latch/un-latch smoothly. Now it all goes up in the attic until I get some Filon which might be awhile because I'm going to the Middle East with the team soon for the World Championships and I doubt I'll get the Filon on/walls bagged before my trip...
