Well I did make some progress
1) I cut out my triangles for my wiley windows today out of rimu (sorry I forgot pics)
2) I cut out and sanded wedges for my wiley windows (pic is before they are sanded etc

3) I fitted a safety chain to my trailer (no need for a picture of that!)
4) Sourced me a plate to mount my coupling on
5) Organised to swap a 2nd hand dive hood for a 21mm treated sheet of ply for my floor

Just waiting for stubs and hubs

Oh I also met a random guy with a 1929 Dodge Bros car who gave me a shock absorber to replace the one that failed its WOF last week

So I did a bit today:
Image
Made up some mudguard (fender) brackets. Will place them once axle and proper wheels are fitted (tues or wed)

Image
Wonder if these will pass inspection :worship: 8) (proper u bolts will be fitted with the new 50mm axle)

Image
Added these to the trailer as I will be using it as a conventional trailer for a few weeks

Image
Oh I gave it a coat of black zinc paint today too! (another tomorrow!)

So close to getting trailer on the road!

Nice nice Felix your racing along....making me look lazy!.
Then again you got most of it for free ya lucky bugger! I'm jumping the money/work hurdles.mind you I've made mine very complicated for a first timer and within reason no expense spared but some days I wish I'd gone with your philosophy.
Keep up the good work mate love your enthusiasim

I got the towing coupling and springs free and battery box
I would be legal if I had of orered them all straight away

A list of expenses are on an earlier post

But I did get some deals, but lost 3 motorcycles to fund it

:( sucks about the motorcycles.
I've almost sold my boat a couple of times but couldn't.
I've had it 6 years and I'm kinda attached to it but I may still do at some point
Wasn't trying to insinuate you got it all for free bud was more that you took the sensible follow a plan route.
I alas like to make sh** hard for myself aparantly!

Today's update:
I mocked up my proper axle with my new stubs.
I will get it welded properly tomorrow afternoon.

I also added tabs in each corner to bolt my ply to (floor)

Then it is WOF / REG time, possibly saturday morn as I go back to work on wed morning.
(no point adding pics as it is a useless picture)

Thanks for reading

A great website
I just got 2 free aluminium screen doors with locks (and keys)

Fantastic news! That saved me $$

As well as door handles you will be able to make some bug screens for your windows.
