Photo of the new bunk. I cut foam for nearly the full length. But we will only use 2 if the 3 pieces of foam till my little girl gets bigger. That leaves nearly 2 ft to the side for our bags!

Trailer handled the trip down the coast from the puget sound to San Francisco Bay and back up I5 without incident. She handled like a dream. We did decided it was just a bit too cold for us to be comfortable as a little family in the tear. No more camping till spring rolls around and we don't need supplemental heat. Paying $40 for electricity at a KOA isn't really what we are looking for. But is did get us down to SF when the nightly lows were about 40 degrees. I will add a propane heat source down the road if we decide we need to camp in the cold.

Nothing else decided except that I now have lots of little things to change for build #2 (ha, the wife has threatened to kill me if I start another) and that I know for sure I want built in cabinets and galley. We had a very basic shelf and "bins" at the head of the bed. And just the counter in the galley. I definitely want to built cabinets to be able to get rid of totes full of stuff and install stove and cooler slide out rail shelves.

Average mpg was 19.8 for the trip. I would have gotten about 25 without a trailer. Didn't have any trouble making it up several mountain passes or keeping up in Bay area traffic.
