IF you have a couple pieces of plywood left you could make some fenders that match the profile of the CLC to replace those little treadplate ones..

I had mentioned in a post elsewhere, I have a friend from work who is considering making this. I sent him the link, and he spent about an hour looking over the pictures and commenting. Sir, you do high quality work, and the step-by-step probably did more to help him pull the trigger than anything else. This looks better than the showpiece model I saw at the RV show.

I don't have enough thumbs ups on my hands to give you. it looks AWESOME!

Thank you for sharing, and more importantly, thanks for allowing us to see the details, so we can see the level of effort.

How long did it take you, from start to finish?

I got the kit at the end of last October, so about 6 months. The kit is complete. The materials and documentation is first rate. Customer service from CLC is great. I have yet to camp in it, but I believe that it will fit my needs. Thanks for the kudos.

I'm sure I spent over the 250 hours published, but my time was really broken up. I work full time, I have a family, and didn't miss any KSU home games.

I did a 50 mile or so shake down trip today. It pulled easy. No tendency to sway. Hubs stayed cool.

I stopped by the in laws on the way and they gave me an old camp stove they had laying around. Works great.

A little update. I removed one of the leaves from the springs and lowered the tire pressure to 20 psi. This seams to keep it from bouncing around. Tracks straight and has no tendency to sway. I will be using it the next 3 weekends at a MTB race, a gravel race and a ride/music festival. I will let you know how it goes.
