Hi Steve, We have been absent due to serious landscape project and son's wedding reception here. We have been out of touch since the April LOL gathering. Had to check up on the foot drawer project. Your craftsmanship is outstanding!!! We cannot wait for our personal tour. Keep up the good work

Thanks Grant and Diane. That is quite a project you have there. Now that the house is all fixed up I guess you are going to move huh? It's time to plan next years gatherings, so check the posts . Hope you guys will make some of them. Cooler can already be reserved.

Did you sell Teardrop #1?

Still for sale. Still my favorite. Price reduced. We have been way too busy to push it. So we use it with a "for sale" as our way of advertising. Make offer. The one on the right is the one or sale.

There you go. The thread was put into mothballs so I refreshed it. You can find it in the for sale section under "FS Southeast WI, 2008 Handcrafted Woodie".
Thanks for the inquiry to prompt me to refresh.

It's a beautiful well built trailer. Whom ever buys it will be getting a good one.

Another amazing camper and beautifully documented build, Steve. But all this to stand while putting your pants on? As I get old, I can't put my pants on standing anymore, I have to sit down! So I guess it's a teardrop for me.

 Stunning, been looking forward to seeing this one get finished.

I do have a question, do you have any details on how you extended your hitch?
I have the same trailer (ironton 5x8) and am in the process of building a 5x10 on it so I'll need to extend mine by ~18 inches. Any info would be great, thanks!

I extended the tongue so I could add a tongue box. Just a new piece of steel channel bolted to where the old one was. To extend the rear, I took the cross pieces of channel that came with the trailer and attached them to the side rails, and then put the rear piece back on. I then added in some 3" angle iron where I removed the cross pieces. I could not buy channel that would fit inside the long side rails, because those rails were bent into shape, leaving a slight radius in the corner of the channel. But the cross piece is formed the same way and fits into the radius.
