Your design, styling, decor and details are truly something special.

You've really captured the perfect classic camper, '1950's modern', futuristic aspects and they just look so right.

Speaking as a former workshop owner and professional mechanic, that engine and transmission installation on your Volvo was very, very impressive!

Thank you. I have been more than happy with it and can't think of anything i would change. Summer time is coming and time to do some more trips

Another year has gone by. The plywood roof has small cracks in the areas where it is curved and leaked a bit inside. I was going to epoxy it when I first built it, got in a hurry and just painted it with exterior house paint. For now I sprayed it with Flexseal and repainted it, did this in the spring and it worked well. Took it on several small camping trips this past Summer and added another shelf inside. Me and the wife and all our cell phones and other personal items it was needed. If I had to build this again, I would change very little, other than sealing the roof properly. It tows well, has enough room, the Solar setup works great. It fulfilled all my goals, easy to tow, easy to build, inexpensive (1500.00 total including trailer) and different

Just came accross this build thread. Nice build! I rejected the HF trailer build early on due to the 4' floor. 5' would easily fit a Queen mattress, which is just about right for most folks.

Yeah, I thought about a 4' wide, laid down some plywood and rejected it quickly. 5' is the way to do it, unless maybe for 1 person, but even then.......It was easy to make it 5" wide

5 years later and gave it a bit of a refresh. Painted the roof with elastomeric roof sealer as the plywood was starting to crack and leak. few other touches. It has served us well, multiple camping trips and journeys. Wouldn't really change anything. Thinking about adding another storage space on an inside wall. Grandson painted the pic and it stayed ImageImage.

For now I sprayed it with Flexseal...

How long did that stuff last?

I only sprayed a small area where I knew it was leaking, held up fine, just too expensive to do the whole roof with it. 100.00 for Flexseal vs 25.00 for a gallon of the roof coating, and probably similar stuff
