I absolutely love your window profiles, they will be an amazing frame to watch the world through, make me think of the letterbox style black and white movies used to have when you saw them on a outdoor screen.

Not much progress but started my tongue box and front side cabinet. Like others have, I'm using the tongue box as practice for the galley hatch.ImageImage

Started working on the tongue box lid. I used a half inch washer to walk off the pattern I wanted to cut then used the band saw. For the hatch, I used a rabbet bit used a flush trim bit to clean up the spacer and then applied a larger gusset to the interior using quarter inch and 1/2 inch spacer instead of the half to three-quarter inch in the traditional Galley Hatch. After marking everything up I started to glue up my box and lid. ImageImageImageImageImage

Thanks star! It was great practice for the galley. I did mess up a bit but it's not visible. One thing is the tongue box is pretty heavy compared to an alluminum one but it's nice to be able to customize it to the size I need. I'm also going to practice PMF on it.

Took some time today to start my bend in my tongue box lid. Slow and steady. Should be good to go by tomorrow or the day after. I also used foam spray to fill the gap between my wiring. Boy am I glad I didn't have more spots to fill then this. Messy and pushed some of my wiring out so I had to cut underneath to level the wires. But I'm officially ready to glue my skin on!ImageImageImageImage

Ok, you're moving ahead of me... :) which works for me.. I can watch how you're doing, then do mine... ;)
I've been over and over the forum checking out how everyone does the bending and skinning, but it always helps to watch a new one too..

Pictures are great.. worth a thousand words...

Keep going, David

Thanks David! Ya I'm pretty worried about skinning. After flush trimming the excess I found that My tongue box skin didn't stick all the way because I didn't use enough gorilla glue so I had to reclamp again. I won't have that option with the trailer skin so I'm going to use pl premium and use a lot of it.

Clam, when you get ready to do the skin on the cabin,, check out how aggie79 attached his with the screws to pull it down tight.. :)
He's covering with aluminum, so he can patch fill the screw holes when he takes the screws out.. Would work with PMF also, I believe..

Look like he's used extra 1/4 ply to keep the screw heads from sucking in too deep.. keeping filling to a minimum.. when the screws are removed..

and the use of a lot of PL Premium

I'm going to use this method for part of the skinning,, David

You two need to quit sweating the skinning. :frightened: It's easy. (As long as you use 1/8" Baltic birch.)

I use PL and a 1/4" crown stapler. The PL Premium is a LOT cheaper if you buy the big tubes.

Yes bessey. Good eye.

Tony do you remove the Staples after or just leave them in?
