This is what I came up with based on how bartek did his spares. The templates are laser cut and fit very snug.

I haven't done much actual building this past few weeks, just spending lots of money on supplies!!! 1/2 birch was $40 last month, this time it was $60!!! I ended up getting 10 sheets of 1/8 Okueme and BB for the bed platforms. I also put in an order for a door at Challanger. The lead time is 10 weeks now and it was $525. The one area I was able to save some money was I found a local guy parting out his camper and was able to snag 2 windows and 2 storage hatch's for $100. But this is all really starting to add up.

If you look closely you can see the door drawling on the template. The random drawling are my daughter "helping" me. Each day she asks me if we are almost done...

Imagine if the tennon on the end of your spar was a dovetail and it would almost snap into the walls. Would be super strong ( and just badass!)

You might have to post an armed guard piling that much wood in one place! I think prices are getting to the point new builders won't be able to afford to make a profile template!

I'm not happy with how my first sheet of 3mm okume turned out. I used PL premium on the spare/okume and it looked great at first, but once the glue had dried it caused the 3mm ply to warp and pull away from the spares on several areas. This is on the interior. For the exterior I will use staples, but I was hoping to avoid that on the interior.

How has everyone else attached the interior roof/wall to their spares? I will get some pictures of the issue later this weekend. Could it just be an issue with how flexible the okume is?

Wow, I just realized its been months since I've posted. I find it a lot of work to resize pictures in the right size for this forum. IDK if I'm doing it wrong. :( I mainly post to my Instagram story. #Hahntoon. But I will try to get some picture resized and uploaded soon.

I have the walls up, the interior roof and spares, the bed frames, the rear cabinet and the heat/ac/electric cabinet is half done. So far I have the one coat of spar on the entire interior. I sanded and cleaned for the second coast this week. Hoping to get the second coat done this weekend. For the first coat I thinned it 20%. I've found I'm not very good and applying the spar evenly... :x

FYI, I paid $60 a sheet for 3/4 BB 5x5 for my walls. It's now $164 a sheet!!! :? Glad I don't need anymore.

test fitting the storage door, for under the foot of the bed storage access. This is a large storage area, 12x30x80" and can bee accessed from either side of the camper. I was originally thinking of doing a slide out kitchen using the old popup sliders, but for now, its just storage.

The spars went together very tightly, thanks to the router gig idea from another member. (pay no mind to the cicada on the wall, it was peak season for them... :( )

I made a mistake when cutting the wall spar holes for the front wall and in order to fix it had to make them bigger and use 2x3's... oh well.

First sheet of okume installed. It's so flexible that its actually difficult to work with. The first sheet warped while the glue was drying and now has a slight wave to it... :x I ended up stapling the rest of the sheets every 18" to hold them to the spars/glue.

Cabinet bottom installed. I had to piece together to 1/4 birch boards. With covid prices, I couldn't justify buying another sheet for this.

Cabinet finished and first coat of spar applied. Luckly it lighted up a bit when dried. The gaps you see at the seem had to be stapled down from the outside.
