I would never shame Reddy Kilowatt that way.

When we did our home solar system, the state went a bit overkill on the placarding. They are everywhere. The kicker was that we were supposed to have one next to our front door. Seriously?

So after the inspector gave the system his thumbs up, I got rid of the one by our door. And in jest added a couple of those derogatory Reddy Killowatt stickers at our arrays. I like 'em. ;)

I do look forward to watching your build progress. :thumbs-up:

Getting a van right now is tough. The wait for new vans is up around 10 months, which has driven the prices of the used vans to crazy levels around here. Ford is closing orders for 2022, so people will have to wait till the fall to order a 2023 van. The good news is that you'll get a great price for your van.

Bruce

When we brought our little van home, 2 days later was offered twice what we paid for it, while we had it setting out there with the doors all open. Taking out the back seat and old carpet. We do plan on keeping ours a while. ;)
Your postings will keep me interested though. So anything is possible for change.

I always had a penchant for using weird signage, placards, decals and similar.

I had a close friend when growing up, whose father was an engineer at the electric company here (and another friend whose father was an engineer for the gas company, too). I could get any advertising sticker/placard I'd want from either friend, though it got stale after awhile to tag stuff with them. I switched to other types of weird tags that my aunt would get me from Mobil, where she worked. Then used various stickers another friend's dad got me, from his work as an industrial underwriter. I was always putting oddball decals on my cars as a teen.

So, when I was finishing (ha,ha they're never finished) my trailer build, I bought or had made (custom printed, or engraved) some signage to decorate my solo camper (the wife said she'd never camp in it).

At the top right is the sign I hang on my on-board generator, referring to a device in one of my favorite 50's SciFi movies, This Island Earth (1955). The device is the Interocitor. Obscure reference isn't it?...my kind of weird signage.

Here's a link to more, similar electrical warning signs (but not referring to Reddy Kilowatt, whom/which I became bored with, after so many uses as a kid). https://www.google.com/search?q=electrical+hazard+warning+signage&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS879US879&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiEs4uwg5H2AhWfkWoFHeJuDOMQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1536&bih=994&dpr=0.67

I used one to make my modified sign. And, I'm still adding more, as I add or modify my trailer more, to my tongue box, and to the overhead storage tube (for fishing rods).

That's Mr. Ouch in the upper right hand corner of your photos. I was reviewing data sheets for a transformer and one of the included options was "Mr. Ouch labeling". WTF? I had to Google it. Mr. Ouch.

I've got This Island Earth, I'll have to watch it.

Re: Advanger Build

We added sound deadener panels to the interior to try and quiet it. I've found there is a lot more controversy on the van build sites than I'm used to and sound deadener is a hot button. Some people will cover every part of the van but the panels are heavy so we went with as little as we thought would work - shooting for the manufacturer recommended 30%. We tapped on the sheetmetal and if it rang for awhile then we knew it needed treating. Did it work? Meh. It makes a difference over highway bumps, the noise is now a short, dull thump. But it didn't do much for exterior sound levels while parked. I'm thinking the insulation will do more for that:

BTW, Amazon Basics has sound deadener and it was cheaper than Dynamat. We used a little more than one box. We pretty much did everything like this guy did:
