Started some pork butt this morning. Got a late start son had a football scrimage. About noon got the butts on only up to 148 right now gonna be along night. Threw some of the $.99 Chix quarters in about 1:30 and threw some taters in at 3:30 taters weren't quite done at 6, but tasted great with a nice smoke flavor, Oh my god the Chix was awesome. The chix was a test for the Washington State game. Going to have that for our protein at the tailgate.

Made some cole slaw with Blue Berries that turned out great, and went great with the BB BBQ sauce.

It sounds good. What kind of smoker are you using? Got any pics?

We'll be smoking again next weekend! :)

Mmmmm...you guys are making me hungry! :D

I don't think they'd be pleased if I used a smoker here in the apartments. We're not even allowed to have gas grills.

Well for the tailgate tomorrow. Making a batch of BBQ nachos. Chips, then some pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and some home made Queso poured over the top. Queso is a quick maker velvetta, some chaddar, and rotel tomatoes with jalapenos. Yummy

And tomorrow we are doing some pork loins, beef loins and chickens.

I wanted to do the ribs on the smoker today, but I got out voted.
They want their ribs in the oven until tender, and then on the grill with BBQ sauce.

Can anyone give me a compelling argument for doing them in the smoker that I can present to the voting committee?
