They have gotten great reviews for the taste. They even have a Facebook page. I think it's worth a shot to try a can and see how they taste.

If they taste good, it would be perfect for camping.

We used to do something similar - except we used a ketchup bottle (squeezable and rinsed) and mixed the batter, filled the bottle, and off we went

Most all of them were very positive. However, without even trying it I think I agree the most with this review.

Good God, how freaking lazy can you people be? The can may be recyclable, but if you're too lazy to wash a bowl, I doubt you'll recycle! Whole Foods should be ashamed for selling such a wasteful product.

Got some as a joke gift & was surprised at how good they were. Downside is you need to use the whole can once it is open. It might work a day later but not much longer. Very handy if pressed for time and need to feed a hungry horde quickly (a very small horde ) Daddy I'm hungry.. Daddy when are we going to meet... Someone feed those kids..

Have any of you tried New Hope Mills Buckwheat complete mix? I use it all the time much better than anything I've tried. I mix it in an old Hidden Vally ranch mix bottle. Just remember to open the small lid after mixing or it will on it's own. Guess the gas builds up and pop the lid is off. It's just mix and water and shake. Nothing to it. one bottle full makes enough pancakes for four no problem. Just make less for 2. Here's the web site for the mix. Well worth it!! It's all natural and made in the USA. The guy that runs it is a Pastor to boot.

Canned Bacon perfect companion for pancakes in a can.

OK, I'll be the first to admit we tried the "Organic" Batter Blaster during a recent camping trip - yes, it's very convenient; just shake, squirt, cook and flip. The pancakes were a tad on the sweet side, almost waffle flavored, but honestly, they were pretty decent! And the best part, no bowls to clean up.

Convenience Factor= 8
Lazy Factor= 10+

Boy what an easy way for retired microwave user to make pancakes and waffels. The town just north of here has them and I am going to go up there and buy some tomorrow.

Interesting product...but here is one that can compete on the no bowl prep plus it needs no refrigeration. I actually dump out the Bisquick and refill with Cracker Barrel mix.

While you are at it might as well get the B's and G's in a can too !

Meat loaf in the dutch oven. Stews, Hot bread in the d.o. Real b's and g's with real sausage browned flour and milk and fresh mixed drop biscuits in the d.o. Talapis and steamed vegatables with cheese sauce. NO burgers and dogs for this boy !

I tried the batter blater. Neat stuff but the fact that it needs to be refrigerated macks it a big negative camping. I went with the little add water shake and pour last time and it was great, no bowl to wash and no refridgeration needed.

I'm with you on that one!

I'm not big on "shake and squirt" type foods, at least for eating. Generally I don't like eating stuff that I can't pronounce the ingrediants either. For traveling, stuff that doesn't have to be kept cold is always best. Unless you like sleeping with a garbage bag, packaging needs to be considered, burnable is best.

For pancakes I think Krusties is best because you just add water.

Canned bacon was mentioned above, some of it is extremely salty and needs to be rinsed before cooking. Then there are those other pork products many of which I can't figure out what part of the pig they don't use. If you didn't know what was in it, some of the extruded pork products might be edible.

Cooking outdoors is part of the adventure. Thats why we like cast iron, etc. Don't short change yourself.
