Vintage trailer auction

Postby dguff » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:52 pm

I recieved an email about a vintage trailer auction to be held over Memorial Day weekend. If you are interested see
www.rrvintagetrailers.com

Seems curious that he would limit the number of bidders to 200.

Jerome, after reading the flyer for the event it looks like they are trying to set up an event where you bring your trailer and they will charge you a fee if they sell, it also looks like you would have to pay the campgrond a fee to set up your trailer  looks like the only people that would be
there would be other trailer owners  IMHO which is not worth much

Also interesting that he is advertising "Curtis Wrights, Airfloats, and rare trailers, but has no pictures or info on them other than "now accepting consignments".

None of the above trailers appear in his "showroom" and no other info is offered.
Perhaps he is "hoping" owners of "rare" trailers will flock to his auction to sell their valuable trailers with no reserve, to a buying audience of only 200 people...

I wish the guy well, he is at least trying, but more information is needed!

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

I've met this guy in person and he's got an ego the size of Alaska. I very rarely don't like someone right from the get go, But; he is one of them.

I left his shop thinking A$$H&^%.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.
