Sources for sheet metal skins??

Postby les45 » Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:33 pm

My latest project is to convert my previous hard wall pop-up project to a retro standy (canned ham?). I am patterning it after a 60's Jet. I have firmed up my construction plans for all aspects of the project except a source for sheet metal for the skins. I have found one company on the west coast that will build anything you want but it is very expensive ($5/sq ft). Does anyone know of any sources for the type of sheet metal that will look appropriate for a retro type trailer?

This is the look that I'm going for but the skin can be anything similar with lines molded into the metal.
