Hey Moderators. How about a section added to the forum that is dedicated to the discussion of plumbing?

...if you're a guy, you stand up...if you're a girl you sit.,..what else is there ...............

in a TTT we all sit. No head room!

See it is not as clear as you thought.

The name of this site is "Teardrops & Tiny Travel Trailers". You have a tear drop. That's great. That is what you want. Others want a Tiny Travel Trailer. This is what interests me. Plumbing intersts me and I see lots of people also interested and executing plumbing in their Tiny Travel Trailers. We have a specialty electrical section and it seems only logical to have one for plumbing too.

he does have a point slowcowboy but to answer the question we use a porty potty in the canned ham in emergencys and where we like to camp [wife] there is a bathroom close by

Plumbing can include more than "stand up/sit down".

E.g. water tank, water pump, faucet, hot water heater (gas/electric/solar), gray water/ and or black water tank, shower, drain and drain hose, water inlet, water filter(s), pump to bring water from a stream or lake (through filter(s) to make it potable), water pressure regulator, safe water hose for potable water.
Of these items the only thing we do not have with our teardrop is a black water tank.
On top of this are considerations of what sort of pipe/tubing fittings vents tank material how to attaching fittings to tank... and how to you keep the whole mess sanitary (chlorine for the most part) how do you winterize...

Yes I am going to have questions about all of those plumbing topics in the coming month. I am going to need your help with them.

As typical for me I spent a lot of thought and research on this. There are advantages to having a disability (Aspergers) that includes as one of my professors said an obsession "to know everything about something". I even looked for a way to cushion the water pump to quite it down. If all else fails PM me with an email address and we can correspond.

Todays plumbing topic de jour for me is the vent stack. I aquired a toilet but do not yet have the flange for it. I am gatherering it is a smaller diameter than a house toilet. I am wondering how small a diameter of a vent stack I can make and if that vent can go out the side rather than through the roof.

Plumbing sounds like it could need it's own spot. We have a lot of folks who don't do traditional TD's or put the sink in the back....Good idea!

The one alternative that I have found is a vent filter (good for a season) from Dometic sanitation services in various diameters from 5/8 to 1 1/2" that might allow you go out the side. http://www.dometic.com/enus/Americas/US ... taid=96732
3/4" looks to be a commonly used size for a small black water tank.

I think the first issue I have to overcome is that I plan to build a pop top and my bathroom is directly under the pop top. If I vent straight up I am venting right where I plan on a fabric pop top wall.

One thing to remember is that the vent does not have to be ridged it can be a hose, which could be outside I suppose. The filter is an alternative and its primary use appears to be on boats.
