grey/black water tanks - how to attach

Postby aggie79 » Fri May 27, 2011 8:36 am

Please excuse another rookie question. How do you attach the grey/black water tanks to the frame/deck?

I've seen tanks that have flanges and some that don't. For the flanged tanks, I assume you screw/bolt them to the bottom of the trailer frame/deck. For the non-flanged models, I assume you use strapping or bolts and Uni-strut.

Thank you for your replies.

Tom,

Most use angle iron.

Some alone, just along the edges of the tank, and some with plywood spanning the angle iron to help support a wide tank.

I used pluming strap. The kind you use to support sewer pipe. It comes in 10, 20, 50 foot rolls I think.
