I have used this in camping and river kayaking trips. Works very well and extremely portable, the site is also good as I ordered many a meal from here, as well as water purification items. Hope someone else finds this useful.

When we camp we use what we call our Mountain Maytag.

This video gives a good idea of how it works: http://youtu.be/t11WC1lG_Po

For years we used just a toilet plunger. Eventually we did splurge and bought the fancy blue plunger. We also cut a hole in the center of the bucket lid and plunge with the lid snapped on. That way we don't splash the churnings out. Using two buckets are very helpful. For storage we put clothes pins and line, Woolite, Fels Naptha soap, a scrub board and brush all in the nested bucks with the lid. The only thing that doesn't fit is the plunger handle.
