I know this is posted some where before, but here go's anyhow.

Where is your propane tank(s) mounted, inside or out and what size?

Just wondering because I personally use the 1lbs. bottles.

I have an 11 lb tank strapped to the front platform and tongue box with 3 ratchet straps. In the next couple of weeks I need to take battery tie-downs and fashion a better attachment, plus figure out a locking system.

A 25 lb. bottle on the tongue platform, that has a secure bottle holder, secured with a paddel lock.

25# translucent tank on the tongue. I love the tank as you know exactly how much propane you actually have.

Shadow Catcher, what a cool looking tank.
I've never seen one like that before.

We have a aluminum trailer tongue box, with a central hole underneath for ventilation. It holds two of the 1-gallon (4.25 lb) propane tanks, held in place with a floaty noodle, and our front wheel cup.

Neither have any of the folks filling it :D
A 20# propane tank hold 4.7 gallons of propane a 25# holds 7.57 gallons and the Lite Cylinders are 30% lighter than a steel cylinder http://www.litecylinder.com . I have to give credit to one of the other members who bought his first.

To keep it simple I use the 1# disposable cylinders. I didn't want to run gas lines in my Tear. I know it is more expensive and not eco friendly but I like to do my cooking on the picnic table at the campgrounds anyways.

11# bottle stored in the tongue box. Remove it a nd hook up at campsite. No propane line but the advantages of a bigger tank. Also use it for a firepit.

When it gets built I will have a 6 KG (13lb ish) on the tongue in a tongue box. Using the special lightweight cylinder which means full it weighs about the same as a 4.5 Kg (9lb ish)

On the tongue along with the battery and spare tire. It's held in place by the stand collar, a fixed pin in the back and a removable bolt in front. It sits just a bit loose so I can lift it a bit and see how heavy it is, how close to depleted.

I carry my 20# propane tank on the tray on the tongue of my trailer. The tray is more flexible than a tongue box and weighs less, but requires strapping stuff down. But it requires no ventilation or weatherproofing.

I am just entering the planning stage of a Gypsy Vardo style. I'd love to put mine in wooden hand built/decorated boxes to either side of the door in the rear. However I can only imagine the effects of a rear end impact from another driver  lmao
