How to adapt Wedgewood drop-in Stove to 1lb LP tanks?

Hi All

We bought this two-burner drop-in stove for a drawer pull-out in the back of our TD. Originally, we were thinking of running black pipe to the back from a LP tank on the tongue, but now we want to just have the 1lb disposable LP bottles (green camping types) under the stove in the back. Can anyone suggest what we need to do?

Here is the stove: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/it ... ArT58P8HAQ

Thanks so much!

Jack

You need to drop the pressure to the "normal" appliance pressure of 11" WC. So you need a regulator of some type, maybe one used with campstoves that are designed to operate off the 1# cylinders.

Ok, great. Thanks for the info. I'll look into that. Anyone else done this before and how did it go? Thanks. :D

Excellent!!! Thank you.

I found this guy explaining how to do it as well....

I have to run brass or black pipe out of our cooktop first...then I can connect the hose as you listed in your link. That would work great! Thanks so much.

Get a unit called a "steak saver" this will allow you to use "standard" propane (11 iw) regulator that your stove requires, and of course appropriate hose from regulator to stove..

Yes, your standard RV style regulator screws into steak saver... Good unit to have with a extra one pounder if your large tank goes dry and propane store is closed...

I used a regulator from a BB grill that had been thrown away.
