just fyi, but i took an old dorm fridge and turned it into a ice chest style fridgerator /freezer. temp goes from 1 to 7, set a 1.5, i get a few degrees below freezing at the bottom. draws about 1.4 amps an hours with r10 insulation. stock draws 50 watts, but right now its drawing 80. im guessing that mostly cus the lost heat sink.
its an option to consider.
