Next progress video...cabinets are almost done...just need to add some sliding doors at the front...on to kitchen cupboards next.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFJ-l6_GTjIMy plan is as follows.
1) build out most of the cabinetry
2) add a roof to it
3) PMF the complete outside while still in the garage. It is winter and snowing here so I would like to do this inside. Also mount the windows.
4) Transport the whole thing outside by sliding it out on small roller shafting to clear the garage door.
5) Make the trailer frame
6) Marry up the frame with the trailer body
7) Add some basic outside lights to the trailer
Drive it down the road and make sure it holds together.
9) Once I'm sure it will hold together as planned them I will start adding some of the more expensive items. Electrical, Batteries, Pumps, etc. These things seem to cost the bulk of the money so I want to hold off on them until I am sure everything is sound.
The cost to date is around $2000.00 CDN.
Most of the cost went into the foam. The cabinets I tried to make as light as possible, using 1/8" plywood and jointed pine 1" x 2". 1" x 2"'s x 8 ft cost about $2 here so it was economical and the plywood is about $23 bucks (called revolutionary plywood). The windows and screening and door I pulled from an old trailer. The openings in the side of the trailer are cut to size to fit the windows. The wooden framing around the windows use 2 x 4" with "the mix" added to the outside for water protection.
Boy....I hope this thing all works out!
Cheers.
