Keep an eye on craigslist. You might be surprised how much of your stuff will show up there. We aren't talking about the brightest bulbs.

Hopefully they will read the thing and take some life tips from it.

Update'. My investigator spent two days in TN. They found a couple of guns. I will meet with him tomorrow. I'm feeling better.

Mary C. :)

Thanks for the Craig's list tip.

another update. I have a " new to me vehicle" I will post pictures tomorrow nite. I realized yesterday they took my few pieces of paper or lost them, that I had several codes on so i have been working to get new passwords on everything. I have not been sleeping just cant sleep. I am getting the house sorted some . I am cutting the hedges outside my fence and really doing some major yard work too. I think I am getting out of the overwhelmed depression now. and I have started working on my TD some. just thought I'd report!!!!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Mary. Sounds like someone needs to
have some sense beaten into them with a ball-peen hammer!

We had a burglary a few years past too. It removes a level of trust
in your fellow man. We think it was the troubled preacher's teen kid
[next door] and his buddies [he has since moved on], but we could never
prove it. He would NEVER look us in the eye after it happened. Our
losses were mainly some jewelry with more sentimental value than
monetary value on most items. The Cop's solution was for us to check
out the area pawn shops ! Let's just say 'CSI they weren't'. I hope you
have better results from your investigation.

Good luck with getting things 'back to normal' for you.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

I had some items stolen from my house years ago and though they took nothing of value (some liquor, men's magazines and a jar of coins, etc.) it just gave me the creeps. Certainly nothing like the loss you suffered, but I kinda know the feeling. It's good to keep plugging along, it's good to have good friends who you can rely on and it's good to have Faith to get you through the rough times. Keep plugging away, you're in my prayers.... This too shall pass. :worship: :worship:

After I read it I cried that they were caught and I slept last night a really deep sleep even though we were having storms. Now I have a big reason to hurry and work on Grits. still working on the inside. My investigator probably won't be able to go out to Ark. so I will probably go and see if there was any of my things with them. I hope so. She took 4 pair of my shoes then last night I went looking for my snow rain bedroom shoes and they are gone too. I will probably keep finding stuff missing. More than anything I am glad I was not home.

Thanks to everyone for your support and kindness I will forever be thankful. It has made this experience a little less hurtful.

Took your shoes ... :o Now that’s really LOW eh !!! And who would take women’s shoes in a robbery other than another woman ? :duh: Might want to check your other “accessories” too ...

In reality, it’s all just “stuff” and can be replaced .... the only attachments to our stuff is the ones we place on it ...

First and most important: I'm glad that you are ok Mary, and happy that the miscreants have been caught, and you may even get some of your stuff back. I pray that you can find peace and feel safe in your own home.

Secondly - GPW; WHAT HAPPENED to Mr and Mrs Django!?!?!? Did they kiss and turn into Mardi Gras Kings and Queens? Have the crickets taken over?

I have now read this entire thread. I previously finished the Foamstream thread and I have even test glued 2 pieces of 3/4" foam together (edge glued) with some old Gorilla glue. This round of  is on me.

Interestingly when I tested my glue up, it did fail in an interesting manner. It withstood quite a bit of force, but when it snapped, ALL the glue was on one piece and not on the other. It was a single piece that I cut, then glued back together. I did not rough up the edges, but I did wet one of them. (I did not keep track of which was which.)

I hope this makes me an official Foamie and allows me to start asking silly questions! :)
