From what I read , your floor and trailer are done (BTW, Nice job!!!) so the rest will be EASY with Foam ...

Looks like you have a plan already , time to Cut Foam !!! Since you read the WHOLE thread , you already know what to do !!!! (and probably a few other things too ... :R )

well alrighty then...let me officially welcome you to the world of foamies!
i agree with you 100% you have earned the right to be here after reading all that, and actually outlining it for us.
i do think i have been out 2 trips this year without rain, possibly 3.

no worries on the name...i am thinking of mick-foamie  glad to see some other disney fans showing up. i had my hubby signed up for the full marathon last year. he thought i was trying to kill him, just so i could go to disney.

i know i will be watching your build. make sure to post pics. and when you start a foamie build thread i will add it to the list.

and for anyone else out there if i have missed adding yours, please let me know.

Personally , I wouldn’t call it anything ... Just Do it !!! Then when people ask what you call it, you can say , “ I call it a Camping Trailer ! “ :D

You know , I never thought anybody would read through the whole thread :o Much less bothering to separate the pertinent information from the BS..
Funny, this all started out as a way to keep your trailer from Rotting ... and look where we’ve come ... :D

Can’t say as I’d look at most any trailer now and not think how it could be made of Foam...

Took a couple pics of my boat trailer .. The bolts , springs , Rusted ... The trailer frame and axle seem to be fine ... everything else’s gotta’ go !!! :o Looks like this trailer has seen some Salt water (all around here) , just guessing the bearings, seals should go too , just for good measure...
Slipper springs , maybe I can get some a little lighter so I wouldn’t have to carry so much Beer ballast ...

Just some quick calculations , has me spending in the neighborhood of 400 bucks for all those new trailer parts ... or just about what the HF trailer would have cost new... It is a Much heavier duty trailer so maybe this will work out just fine ...
For slipper springs , the only ones I could find in my size (30â€

Here’s something more than a little OT , but shows what you can do with styrofoam ... It looks like this was made with skinned “bead boardâ€

That banner looks perfect good job on it
can't wait to see the finished product
Hang in there GPW it'll happen soon enough

how else would one get all the info to start a foamy? lol

I know there were lots of things I read in there that I wish I could find quick, but half of it I don't even remember what it was for to ask about LOL
there was several ways to create hard points, and different shell materials, and some of the tests prooving the strength and... too much to remember it all, but if/when I get to build something I suppose I'll have to sift thru it again.

Well, the good news is we’ve probably discussed all the relevant information already anyway... Foamies are really so Simple , there’s not That much left to say ...
Probably what we need instead of indexing is a "BS marker/indicator “ ... placed on tangential comments , so a prospective builder could just skim over those posts ... Marking all that would leave us at least a dozen pages of really useful info .... 8)
