The trick to blurred backgrounds is not that hard.

Zoom all the way out with your camera. Have your subject close to the camera, and your background really far away. If you can change your aperture, the closer to f2 you can get, the better.

thanks, i will try that. i always try to zoom into the subject, rather than zoom out. that might be my problem.

It’s a video/still camera , called a keychain cam ... 4G card in it , or bigger ... charges on USB ... and the safety pin is in case the Velcro comes loose so I don’t lose it in the grass.. I got it at Hobby King for like 7 bucks and change , sans SD card...
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... duct=13447 Works as good as the camera on the phone ... Thrifty for sure , easy to use , stays out of the way ... and yes, it’s about the same size as a remote key thingie’
I use it to record the flights of my Foamie airplane designs ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAh2EW0H ... ture=feedu

and you don't know how hard that was to get him to be still long enough to get the shot. :?

Thank you, Louella!!!! Simba is so cute!!! Yes, smart to have learned all of those commands.....here's hoping they don't go bye-bye in the puppy terrible twos-threes :( Keep up the reinforcement :D

thanks verna. and yes, lets hope the terrible 2 and 3's won't be so bad.
almost a week of getting up at 530am for his business, and i finally complained about that to my hubby yesterday. simba must have heard me and understood that, because he got up at 345am!!!!!!!!!!!! i will never complain about 530 again.
he now knows "speak" also. and i must admit that a collie bark is aweful, but a collie puppy bark is worse than finger nails on a blackboard. uggggg.

when I got my puppy I taught her to sit, stay.
Doing so saved her life, one day she starrted across a busy street after the collar she was wearing came undone,
a quick "sit, stay" and she sat on the center line with cars passing her on both sides.
she was with us for 14 years last dog I every had.

we are working on the down now. funny to watch him go thru his mind what i am asking for. right now these are the commands he knows.
sit, paw, look, touch, speak, ok (not sure of that one), and now down (still learning). i feel like there is more, oh yeah, come and here.
he is doing so well.

sorry everyone for going off topic so much. but really it is still camping related, since he will be my camping partner.

Wow Eagle! Simba's got a few more than my old girl (at nearly 7)! :o

Some other fun and easy ones: "Turn around" + "Other way", "Sit Pretty", "Crawl", "Bow", oh and my favorite "Smile!".
