Besides , so many Great Foamies have been built , or are under construction this year .. :applause: Best of all, Everybody who has built one and used it actually LIKES it !!! 8) 8) 8)

What about as an awning/screen room? Wonder if that could be worked up, somehow? Hmmmm. Wait I can't get sidetracked, I'm still working on the lift for BUB.

Same here. That screen room would be cool. Just drop the side.... It could be done... WAIT, You're right can't get sidetracked now!!!

At this time , I’d just like to say Thanks to everybody for participating in this little endeavor !!! Looks like Foamies have come of age , and the “method” has proven Reliable, and Durable ... Seeing all the Foamies built , with thousands of miles travelled between them , I think we can safely say that Foamies Do work , and Well too...
And It’s just amazing to me , all the Creativity, and Diversity shown in these many builds ... I’m honored to be among such enlightened company !!! You Guys (and Ladies) are the Best !!!! 8) Thanks !!! :D

Screen porches  ... It would seem like a standard screen tent(thingie’) adapted to the Foamie would be an easier solution , and easily replaceable later ... screens do get damaged, holes let the skeeters in :frightened: ... All that fold down stuff is rally Cool and appealing to the eye , but may be impractical , from a more typical camping standpoint ... like Rain ! :o I’d like to keep the integrity of the trailer as solid and leakproof as possible , and then just add whatever else on the outside ... that way there’s always a dry place to retreat to ...

well i for one LOVE my foamie. it does in fact work and its working on its second year with 8 trips last year and 4 so far this year. the only bad thing is that i won't get 8 in this year. will get at least 5, but not sure if i will get anymore. oct is our next planned trip, that one should be interesting for me with 2 collies going.

I've been sick and haven't been keeping up like I have in the past.
louella you said two (2) collies? when did that happen and is the new one as sweet as the other?
8 trips last year 4 this year me none last year none this year who needs his A$$ kicked?

Glen I too enjoy see others like your self who have built and tested the foam concept.
when I mention foam trailers to non-belivers I do get strange looks, as long as I know they work
who cares; trailers, boats, airplanes and who knows what else is coming along, what ever it is, I'll be watching.

I know it's not FOAM but just wanted to share my pictures of my Dog Kennel that I built last week for my dogs me and a friend slapped it together we routered every board to give it a nice professional look and I have sanded and varnished every board with at least 3 coats before we did any assembly now that it is assembled I plan on getting 2 of the big cans of varathane and would like to finish it up. My friend describes it as a piece of furniture for my truck we will be putting on a canvas top of some kind that will snap down
Image this is the back gates that can be locked when I lock the tail gate
Imagenot to tall so no wind drag but just high enough that I can put my 12 foot boat up on top.Side of rack all the boards have nice routered edges and 3 inches of spacing between them as better seen in the picture below
Image
now hopefully I can start my trailer build sometime

Thanks GPW that means allot coming from an artist like yourself. I used it as a stepping stone for when I take on my next project my Tiny House and there might even be foam inside of it....hmmm I have a few Ideas for it. If I ever start it I'll definitely post on this website and share with my friends...thanks again for the comment

At the local hardware store the other day , I saw some Very thick Kraft paper ... Heavy Duty stuff !!! Sold in big rolls as "floor protectors” ... It was very smooth on the surface , and I couldn’t help but think how it would glue over foam ... Pretty inexpensive ... Might be good for high stress areas as an additional reinforcement skin , or on the roof , where a little more extra protection is always appreciated... covered over with canvas it would be pretty smooth and Strong ...
Might be perfect for smoothing out the irregularities in bead board , or rough surfaces ...

Was it Pink? Sounds like rosin paper. Rosin paper says it has a moisture barrier, but if it gets more than just a little damp it will disintegrate. Not sure what the "moisture barrier" consists of, but if it is just a wax coating it might interfere with good bonding.

Not sure that is what you saw, but I thought I should mention my experience with it (which is very little). We use the rosin paper at work to protect finished floors during renovations; which is what it it intended for. When it gets wet the pink color runs.

I go through a bit of that stuff to protect varnished floors in boats. I tried saturating some with resin but I think it has a treatment like drop cloths do to keep it from absorbing liquids. I might even have some pics somewhere of my tester - I'll check when I get home from work.
I don't know if it would work for you crazy people who are using TB or paint...
