I’ve got to say , last time we had weather not even this bad , a
small limb put ten holes in my Jayco ( one completely through the roof
). Plus a hole in the fiberglass side … A $5000.00 repair from the Jayco Dealer (crooks!)
… and badly repaired to boot …,
Foamstream … Nothing !!!! I saw limbs bouncing off the trailer , no problem …
I kept looking out of the window checking if it had blown over ( very strong winds ~ 105 mph … ) No problems …
but now we did use 18 oz. canvas to cover it , and in some places 3 layers thick … Almost 7 years living outside … Still ready to go ( after a good wash).
That’s my test …
This might be the year we give it a new paint job … something different . And I finally figured how to install that big window G-goose sent me … .. A “Foamie with a view “ …
Good weather (cooler anyway) and
the need to stay at home makes this a “build year" …
And we’d now like to build something a little smaller , sleeker, LOWER … not so much a horse trailer ( hahahaha)
After all these years , we Know it works , is still Thrifty, and simple enough to make at home …
and I still have that old Dilly waiting for a cabin .
