I am planning a similar vent, although more complicated. I was going to run tubing down from a plenum under the kitchen cabinets and use a computer fan to draw the cool air in from underneath.

Not sure … :NC

WE’d planned on some floor vents made of Stainless steel sink strainers and some foam corks for them .. That way cool air could enter on the floor and hot air could go out the highest vent ( a chimney effect, sorta’ ) Critters couldn’t get in , but air could ... ;)

My first (commercially built) teardrop had two 4" vents in the galley with a computer fan in the bulkhead. We'd open both square-foot door windows and turn the fan on. It wasn't nearly enough. It was one of those issues that flipped me into the DIY mode.

When it's warm, you really really need to move some air.

None of the three roof-vent fans that I have installed leak. Nor should they.

Well, after all that getting the FoamStream ready , now a Tropical Storm is headed directly for us … :frightened: But we’re ready to leave should it turn worse… ;) Thankfully the bad weather waited till we were finished the restoration … :worship:

Now in addition to the daily afternoon rains , it rained all night too … I really need to start thinking about a Foamie Boat too … And that’s been done very well already by Rowerwet … 8) A 12 footer “should" fit inside the FS …

It’s going to be a Busy winter building season ….

I had that same thought! Although in reality we are far enough from the coast that it's better to be in the house.

But... last Sunday and Monday the weather forecasts were predicting 20" +/- rain , that would cause a lot of problems. We lucked out. Pray for folks in NC!

I hope they are alright GPW! That looks like an unfathomable amount of rain and water! No pun intended, I just can't imagine.
