atahoekid wrote:Thanks Glen, yours also belongs in that Hall of Fame. As i've stated in the past, it was you're out of the box thinking and conviction to the concept that took me down the path to the Road Foamie. You were looking for thrifty, i was looking for a better (rotfree) method but we both ended up in similar places. Thanks again for the inspiration :applause:

I second that and same to all of you on this board! I think it was Mary C that asked me to think about Foam when I first introduced myself and she directed me to this foamie forum..... Until then, I was thinking only  aluminum... Now its mainly foam composites with aluminum strengthening at certain points.....

No permission needed. If we ever figure out how to pull it off..... We'll need to figure out how these "Burning Man" folk have turned it into a financial success. You gotta figure there are a lot more of us interested in drinking beer than in dancing around on a desert (dusty) playa.

HMMMMMM    There are numerous craft beer festivals out there. Throw in the teardrop angle and we've got a unique gathering.... I wonder if those festivals make any money?????

I dunno. I'm pretty sure I would rather have a nice fresh cake, made from scratch with first class ingredients (craft beer), than a mass produced Twinkie or stale donut wrapped in plastic (Bud in a can). :D

The future of beer? https://www.the-sub.com/Home?returnurl=%2fglobal%2fSections%2fExplore
You have to enter a date of birth to view it (fake works fine)
  Heineken's new counter top super cooler for beer chills to 2 degrees Celsius.

They call it the Sub, you put mini 2 liter kegs into it called Torps. Does not look like it will be released in the US for awhile though.

Though Heineken is doing a good job of bringing beer to the masses, i prefer craft and home brewed beer. There is a lot of great beer out there, expand your beer universe. i don't mean to sound like a beer snob but being massively popular does not mean it is a great beer. I'm sure you'll be amazed if you take a leap...

+1. There are so many different craft and micro beers now; why would anyone want "vanilla" all the time. Gimme Chunky Monkey. I want New York Super Fudge Chunk.

Dirty Penny has been my go to beer of choice for draft beer lately.

Wish I could try that brew. I haven't seen it here on the west coast. My favorite beers of late, Stone's sublimely self righteous, Russian River Pliny the Elder and/or Blind Pig and Bear Republic's Racer 5   Yum!

Unfortunately I have to avoid ice cream. When I do "sneak" a little even vanilla tastes great

I do not care for beer, never have. Then my husband became friends with a couple homebrewers and I couldn't resist a sip or two just to try it. Still not a fan, but I have enjoyed a few of their flavors. My favorite so far was done with Grapefruit. Almost finished off a whole bottle, almost. They are always really interested in my opinion.
