Did we mention this already ... a simple wall to floor attachment … Best I could think of , with a drip edge … Which has now become a necessity for me … 147766

I'm still leery of the wall being only stuck on. Not sure if I like the fact that 6-8" of foam-glue-plywood sitting on a 1/4" lip is gonna prove out over time.

Now, maybe so, if the foam was notched and actually rested half on the floor, then yeah, my mind would be more at ease with it.

Just thinkin...

Drip edge is not structurally required. It's basically a filler material to cause gravity to keep water from traveling to the edge of the canvas. Doesn't even need to be more than 1/4" below the bottom of the floor. Some way to make a piece of screen mold about a quarter inch thick would do it. Maybe rip the edges off a 1x2? That gives you a screen molding at ~$1 for 16 feet of it, with rounded edges. Do it to a 1x3 or 1x4 and you still have enough to use the center part for something else. I did that with 2x4's to make thrifty chair rail and crown for my house walls, and used the resulting 2x3's on the camper. Basically got a bunch of my house trim for real cheap and framing for the trailer for free! 8)

I never had one too, until about a year ago. Chalk line and skilsaw were my ripping method. Worked okay. Took a while, clamping the board to sawhorses, then stopping and moving the clamp/sawhorse back each time I came to one, but it worked when I needed it to work.

As a woodworker, I'd be a whole lot more inclined to put a Dado in the sidewall or do a separate drip edge a-la what you put on the foamstream. Let the floor support the wall, vs glue supporting the wall...

Drawings DO help! Unfortunately, I can't draw a stick figure without screwing it up :?

Thanks for that last one :applause:

Your sides are pretty-much the same thing my front corners are gonna resemble, only taller....taking up more of the side.... and when I saw your drawing something clicked, and I know how I'm gonna cut the foam now!

I might still invent some new words, but probably have much less waste

Edit with this observation: Even though the sounds are similar, something "clicking" is NOT the same as something "snapping"!

And … all of a sudden we started looking at this one again … Maybe vertical sides for ease of building ? Side door , back door … Mini Galley ( got all the stuff ) Just a “barge" built upside down like a boat ( sorta' ) … Fits in the Shed … :D Interesting !!!

Did you see my latest build? Two 30 cots, drop floor, and a tonau cover gallery hatch. Very little wood. ImageImageImage

Now that we have the small boat trailer restoration underway … Attention now turns to the other trailer we have , the one originally intended for the FS , but now sitting in the verge …waiting … ( It’s a "Dilly” 54” wide frame ) . Big enough for a Zephyr , or something close to that … Still thinking about this design , trying to make it Cool looking but still practical ...
