A different foam project

Postby HMK » Sat May 10, 2014 11:36 pm

I was riding around the lake today thinking of ideas for my tear build and saw a fellow on the lake. He was standing on a surfboard looking thing and was paddling around on the lake. I had an instant thought! A foam paddle board should be a doable project. Shouldn't it?

I was thinking 8 to 12 feet long, 2 or 3 feet wide and about 2" to 4" thick?

If I went 8 foot x 2 foot, I could use a 4 x 8 sheet of 1" foam and cut down the center, glued together and cut to shape.

Would the Titebond Iii , cloth and paint work as a covering since it's going to subject to being in the water?

Good idea or nutty idea? Any thoughts? Any suggestions?
