Ned , I think it was Big Mike’s Vintage plans of the Conestoga wagon ( see vintage plans ^ ) and that Beer can trailer photo that was the FS inspiration ... a Foamie’ Vardo is only a little bit different ...

Apologies , I always get Excited at the prospect of a new idea or build ... :P :dancing

I like it... but the front end should be shaped like a rocket, aero-dynamic and all that stuff...!

Glenn,

I'm not sure what I have in mind yet. But it has to be light... and aero-dynamic...

Probably something Rae would be proud of...

Not much to go on, I know...

GPW wrote:Mike , Seems a traditional Vardo could be easily (and lightly) constructed , including the rounded roof ... A snappy decorative paint job would make it look “traditional" .. I’d imagine a Foamie' Vardo would be easy on the “horse” too ... What design Vardo/Teardo did you have in mind ???

Mike , I have this crazy idea about a front end that goes from streamline front end to a big sun shade ... opens like a flower ... would be possible to do with foam ... I need to think on that some more , perhaps make some drawings ... ;)

Question , do you want the rounded wagon style (tubular) or the more house-like coach type Vardo ?

Well, in my mind, today was the first day of spring...

So I pulled out the Mad Dash and started building the galley..

Didn't get any pics today... maybe tomorrow..

Chell said she need drawers... so I'm setting up for drawers... there's not much room for drawers, because the MD sits so high off the ground... but I'll show you what I got...

Hey Glen,

Winter storage went great as soon as I got the cover from PahaQue. The Mad Dash looks like it's been sitting in a nice dry garage all winter...

Anyways, I mentioned I would send you guys pics of my work this weekend... And here they are...

Here is a pic of the galley cabinet. The 2 drawers will be on the right... the cabinet doors will be on the left...

And here's a pic of the shaker bench. The modification will be a shelf underneath. Here I am building the shelf. There's going to be 4 plastic storage boxes on each side. 4 accessible form the galley, and the other 4 accessible from the inside... Thanks to Gary for the idea..

That's a driveway in keeping with the general minimalist spirit of teardrops. :)
