Here is a sketch that accomplishes the following:

1. Simple build, reduced chances for leaks (no rear hatch/galley door, no tipout)
2. keeps us all in the same cabin
3. has a bunk that is width of a full size mattress and 4'8" long for the kids while they're still small
4. keeps the pleaseant benroy curves (24 at front, 48 at rear, pulled rearward slightly.

It sacrifices a galley. I'm way way way at the simple end of the spectrum for camp cookery, though, and this does have a little storage area, accessible by an RV cargo door, at the rear under the bunk. Storage inside the cabin for clothes and eyeglasses would be hanging pouches and nets like a tent. It would need lots of ventilation - including some that stay open all the time and don't let rain in.

I'd need to do a 5X10 on a 5X8 but plenty of others have (have they in foam, though)?

I saw a commercially-built one like this on the forum for a user named susswood form Oregon.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
