To test these we made up a piece of Fomular , 19” X 48” X 3/4” ( what we had ) rounded the edges and sanded the surface …. ready to test out today … Since these are low power < 20 watts , I’d think a small (cheap) DC powered stereo amp would be perfect( maybe even Solar) … It won’t be a concert , but should provide some pleasant listening , for you and the Bears ... :o

I have about a half dozen of those amps, they're great for the money and running on 12V makes them useful for a lot of projects. DIY audio is one of my hobbies, primarily building speakers

Here's 68 pages of flat panel info for you to read

Cool beans.

Was your exciter a 4 ohm unit? Did you pair them to get an 8 ohm load?

Sparks , I did it quite unscientifically , just picked the ones that “looked" good ( affordable dice roll ) , just to test … I got the Tectonic TEAX25C10-8/SP ( the Frog) and a DAEX25Q-4 25mm Exciter 20 W 4 ohm .. I was thinking we could put just one on my Mini-Galley wall, and the sound would fill the whole trailer …( well, that’s what I was thinking anyway :NC …. we’ll need to test it to be really sure … but just thinking even a little sound would be Nice … You don’t want to offend your neighbor campers , or scare off the bears … :o

Crap! I wish I hadn't read this post. I really don't need another diversion for my too limited personal time...but in the next month or two I'm going to clear my schedule and give this a go. Maybe I'll try some large horizontal suspended panels in my garage.
