Where to start??

I collect Art Deco Oak furniture, Chrome and Bakelite coffee pots, old appliances, I have a 1957 Airco refrigerator a 1920's electric range and a genuine pre-electric ice box. I also have all the books written by Nevil Shute, Dick Francis and may more and the crowning glory must be almost every item made by Tupperware in the last 5 years.

My partner has all but two of the movies starring Julie Andrews and a whole lot of other memorabilia relating to Julie as well as an ever increasing collection 300+ of Chick flick movies

A friend said a while ago I should put a turnstile at the door and charge admittance to my museum... He may be right

When I was a kid my mother would bring me back a Hot Wheels when she went to the grocery store. I still have most of them and I still love to look at the new ones. I probably own over 300. I still have my baseball cards too. Just a big kid I guess.

I have a keychain collection that slowly grows year after year. It started when my parents took me on vacation all over the U.S. Wherever we went, I just had to have a keychain. So to this day, whenever I go someplace new, I grab a keychain. The nice thing about my collection, is that almost every keychain has a great memory tied to it!

Not sure how many I have, but I'd throw a guess as to a few hundred.

I think everyone can put something down on this post. I forgot to mention that I also collect magnets and pins. I have a magnet and pin from everywhere I've traveled to and some novelty ones. What absolutsnwbrdr said he collects made me think of this. I probably have over two hundred magnets. I started this when I was about five.

Lately it's beer. Still in the bottle if I buy more than one. If only one, then only the bottle is kept..... Oh, and it has to be in a glass bottle. Don't like the taste from a can.......

Some Dennis’, some mine, some both:

TRYING TO QUIT (maybe building tds will keep us out of Barnes & Noble):
Books (not exactly useless, but definitely an obsession - we‘ve tried to get it under control by agreeing that for every book we bring home now, we have to get rid of TWO until everything fits nicely in the shelves in EVERY room. It at least makes us stop & think, which two are we willing to part with)
Magazines (as was stated by someone earlier, can’t throw them out…)

SOMETHING SMALLER, MORE MANAGEABLE:
Post cards
State magnets
Pictures of vintage trailers
Knives
Water towers and welcome signs (that is, we photograph them in our journeys)
Jigsaw puzzles

IN THE PAST (have these collections but have stopped collecting and just kept a few favs)
Steins
Angels
Eagles
Miniatures
Milk crates

Oh, and my dog collects loose dog fur. He leaves rolls of it all over my house. :o

(Don't mind me...I'm in one of those silly moods.)

Love reading about everyone's collections. They're all so personal for so many reasons. I collect vintage Tupperware, preferably unused stuff from the 70's that my mom had when we were growing up. I find that Tupperware is perfect camping gear, and I have a few choice finds that will live in my camper and be well used and loved.

I'm not big on clutter, so I don't add to my collections often. As I've gotten older (ripe old age of 36), I try to just collect things I can use as opposed to stuff that gathers dust and sits on a shelf. I have vintage bedspreads on all of our beds. Nostalgia is powerful stuff...if it doesn't remind me of something my mom or grandmother had when I was little, it usually doesn't make the cut.

If I could just figure out what to do with the collection of 1987 NBA cards I have from my junior high days...
