How is your fender attached

How is your fender attached on your TT or TTT or larger for that matter.

Hey, right now 100% of the responders do it the way that I do it. Of course I'm the only one to vote so far!

I'm hoping to build my fender brackets this weekend. I am going to be supporting the front and rear of the fender like most utility trailers do. Once that the fenders are in place I'll decide if I need any additional bracing from the top of the fender to the side of the trailer. I think it will be unnecessary.

I'll probably make the fender brackets the same way I made the tail light brackets, only wider to fit the width of the fender. Nothing fancy, just functional.

we used the fg fenders from RW Johnson and thru bolted them to our 3/4" sides...we used 10 1/4 x 2 bolts(cause we had 'em) and fender washers per side...why so many...concern of vibration fractures in the FG....we also used 1x3/16 weatherstripping on the mounting flange for the same reason...seems to have worked out quite well.....

I only use 4 bolts per fender. Two are along the "skirt" area and are backed up by nuts, the other two have T-nuts on the inside of the cabin. You can only see one T-nut because the other one is below the mattress.

I'm not having the best of luck right now. My truck started flashing a warning light. I read that you can read the trouble code by grounding out one of the contacts on the trucks's computer outlet. I got a push pin and an wire with alligator clips. The instructions didn't mention that one of the contacts was a hot 12v feed. The needle immediately turned a glowing bright red...while I was holding it! It's probably the worst burn I've ever had, even with my welding. With welding I expect things to be hot so I'm careful, but this was totally unexpected. Did I ever mention that I'm a klutz??

Angle iron weld to frame with the front and rear of fenders bolted to it with a couple of 1/4" wood screws holding the top of it against the wall.
I like to be able to stand on my fenders!!
No vibration either.
