Camper bedding poll....do you leave it in the camper or not?

OK, help me resove the answer to a "discussion" I had with my wife. I bought a new pillow, and got a size that would be suitable for my camper bed. When I mentioned this, my wife said "You don't mean to leave it in the camper do you? It should be in the house when you're not camping". I told her that camper's usually had stuff for camping that stayed in the camper so that packing for a tip would be minimal...just the supplies needed for eating, etc. She said, "how do you know what other campers do?"

It's all about convenience for me. I leave it all in the camper....just take it out to wash and it goes right back in.

You have my vote.

Planning on leaving mine in the camper, but it is more comfortable (the pillow) than the one in the house. Hmmm . . .

while we do have extra pillows, we usually bring our regular pillows with us 'cause they are what we are used to...blankets generally stay but sheets and stuff come out...they stay fresher smelling that way...at the very least, everything should be aired out after using to keep that musty smell at bay.......

I too keep a separate bedding in my trailer, however like Jack I bring my
Buckweat hull pillows with me on camping trips for a nice nights sleep.

It stays in the TD.... We take the bedding off and wash it, and then put it right back in the TD... The bed will get made up sometime before the next outing. We bought pillows to stay in the TD.

I keep my memory foam pillow in the TD as it is identical to the one in the house. My wife has a ramp pillow and she takes it in the house. The sleeping bags got washed again yesterday and went back in the tear. Those new Coleman "Made in China" :x sleeping bags are very difficult :x to zip into a pair of sleeping bags. :) Danny

I'm like Sid but make the bed because of going to cruise nite fridays and saturdays when not camping. And like Madjack said extra pillows from the house for my wife.

We keep the bed made up with it's own stuff Dale. Just never know when someone will drop by to take a look at the camper, or I might have to slip inside for a quick nap, and of course there's always those mid-day rendezvous in the TD.... oops, probably too much info.

Put new sheets on before we leave. We strip the bed every time we come home. We also use the regluar pillows from the house.

Those are some good comments so far. I keep my camper windows and vent cracked a little, and so far, my cushion covers don't smell musty. My parents camped a lot, and usually had the campers outfitted with everything that stayed in them so that they only had to load up food and clothes to be off on the road quickly when they felt the urge to go. My wife won't leave her pillow in it, but I probably will. And,do the same with the sheets and blanket. Of course, the galley equipment will stay in all the time (utensils, etc.).

I bought sheets, towels and kitchen towels, a set of corelle dishes, a set flatware and cooking pans for the tear. Unique colors, so we know where they go.

We have memory issues around here.

But, all of it goes in the house for the winter -- besides, I want to do some more work on the inside of the tear.

It's called compulsion.

We leave everything in it. Just gets washed after a trip and put right back in. We like to keep it "Ready to go."

leave it
