-Old/New Friends
-Scenery/Shade
-Water Sports (i.e. Swimming, Kayak, Canoe, etc.)
-Biking/Hiking
-Drinking, YES that kind! (that happens)
-Electric Hookup
-Handicap Accessible
-Pot Luck Dinner

-Dutch Oven Class - No contest, just a cook off. umm good

I feel Showers & Tiolets is most important, everything else is good.
P.S. You forgot Teardrops. It would defiantly be good to have some teardrops at a Teardrop Gathering.

Everything except for shopping. And hunting/fishing is totally optional. Fishing is only fun if the weather is decent. (Not nice, just decent.)

Gee what a good list. All of the above would be nice. Well maybe not the hunting, too many people. A turkey shoot might be fun though. ;)

Doubling up. I am not a fan of this. It seems to happen a lot lately. It may be all right if no utilities are involved?
Water sports, biking/hiking are good for those who can do it.
Drinking, stuff happens
Handicap is a BIG +
Campfire are great with surprises?
and there is
FRIENDS..............without the old and new there would not be any fun or any event to go to.
Friendship is the main thing.

Gage-

Yep, that's a given.

My daughter pointed out to me I forgot Spouses/Kids/Family!

That just might be fodder for a whole separate poll!

I just picked the most important ones for me or mine. The first thing I think of when deciding on a campout is the price of the spot, the shade , and the distance. But once there it is all about food and friends and laughs at the campfire !!!
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Guy-

Good to hear from ya!

Yep, we are doing the RB Winter SnowFest thing again this Winter!

Get your butt back here and you can have the sofa right next to Jack again, LOL!

Really interested in the attributes that people find important.

Hopefully those folks out there that plan outings/gatherings will find the results useful?!

Cheers,

Coop

Coop, that is an excellent list...let me say that for a normal weekend gathering that some things such as games or other organized activities can be hard to get going...at an average weekend gathering the only whole day is Saturday and at any good sized gathering, almost the whole day is gonna be taken up by visiting/cooking/eating.....

p.s. Coop, I added "All of the Above" to your poll answers.......MJ
